Camp El Madrigal — Villarreal

Team News
Villarreal
Villarreal are unbeaten in their two games since Miguel Ángel Lotina's
took charge as they won for only the second time this season on the road
to move six points clear of the relegation zone. However Nilmar picked up an abductor injury at Vallecas so his place should go to Alejandro Martinuccio. Otherwise, Lotina is expected to go with the same team that displayed
one of their most complete performances of the season at Rayo and could
even afford to miss a second-half penalty.
probable lineups : Lopez, Oriol, Musacchio, Zapata, Gaspar, Cani, Senna, Bruno, Valero, Ruben, Martinuccio. (4-4-2).

Espanyol
Espanyol lost for the first time in four games last time out as Malaga came from behind to snatch a 2-1 win at Cornellà-El Prat. Philippe Coutinho, however, continued his great form since arriving from
Inter on-loan and his fourth goal in an Espanyol shirt means he is now
just one off Sergio García as Los Pericos' top-scorer this season. García himself may be back in the team after missing the last two
matches through a hamstring injury and Héctor Moreno should return from
suspension to partner Raúl Rodríguez in the heart of the defence.
probable lineups : Casilla, Lopez, Rodriguez, Moreno, Didac, Baena, Romaric, Garcia, Verdu, Coutinho, Uche. (4-2-3-1).

Injuries have been a key factor in Villarreal's surprisingly poor season
and they will miss the presence of Nilmar who, despite not scoring
nearly the same number of goals as he did last year, is a good foil for
Marco Ruben.
Espanyol, though, are still in the hunt for Europe and should have
enough creation through the likes of Coutinho, García and Verdú to avoid
defeat.
A draw may suit both sides as Villarreal edge closer to safety and the
visitors wouldn't lose too much ground on those around them challenging
for the European places.
Villarreal 1 - 1 Espanyol
