Team News
Real Sociedad
Real Sociedad have lost three consecutive games after they were swept aside 5-1 at the Bernabéu last time out by Real Madrid. Philippe Montanier will, though, be able to recall Dani Estrada and Gorka Elustondo from suspension. Mikel González is expected to miss the next few weeks after suffering a
hamstring injury so Vadim Demidov will continue at centre-back. Carlos Vela is expected to be restored to the starting line-up after
only appearing as a substitute against Madrid, but Montanier may also
retain Imanol Agirretxe in the starting XI as his recent performances at
Anoeta have been far better than on the road.
probable lineups : Bravo, Cadamuro, Martinez, Demidov, Estrada, Aranburu, Llarramendi, Vela, Zurutuza, Prieto, Agirretxe. (4-2-3-1).

Rayo Vallecano
Rayo have now lost back-to-back games for the first time since January
as they followed up their 4-2 defeat at Malaga last midweek with a
disappointing performance in the 2-0 loss to Villarreal on Sunday. The only positive note for Jose Ramon Sandoval from the Villarreal game
was the performance of Lass Bangoura who looked back to the excellent
form he showed in the first-half of the campaign after he replaced Piti
at half-time. José Movilla was rested from the start last time out as it was Rayo's
third game in eight days but he is expected to retake his place in the
centre of midfield.
probable lineups : Robles, Tito, Arribas, Labaka, Casado, Fuego, Movilla, Lass, Michu, Armenteros, Costa. (4-2-3-1).

Prediction
Both sides are separated by just two places and four points in mid-table
and this should be a close encounter unlike the 4-0 thrashing Rayo
handed Sociedad when they met earlier in the season.
The only consistent factor in the Madrid side's games of late has been
goals at either end with their last seven encounters average 4.5 goals.
Therefore with Sociedad also looking leaky at the back in recent times
there should be plenty of goalmouth action in San Sebastian, with a
high-scoring draw looking the most likely outcome.
Real Sociedad 2 - 2 Rayo Vallecano
