Espanyol
Walter Pandiani came off the bench to rescue a point for Espanyol with a stunning injury time strike against Betis on Thursday. Joan Verdú is back from suspension for the Catalans and Mauricio
Pochettino is likely to revert back to the line-up that defeated Racing
on Monday after making six changes for the visit to Seville.
Hector Moreno is suspended however so Jordi Amat should come back in to partner Raul Rodriguez in the heart of the defence.
probable lineups : Casilla, Didac, Amat, Rodriguez, Lopez, Gomez, Forlin, Cautinho, Verdu, Weiss, Uche. (4-2-3-1).

Malaga
Málaga have now won four and drawn with Real Madrid in their last five
games after an entertaining 4-2 win over Rayo Vallecano in midweek. Manuel Pellegrini however will have to do without Jérémy Toulalan for
the majority of the remainder of the season as he has to have an
operation on the fifth metatarsal in his left foot.
Salomon Rondon's two goals against Rayo took his tally for the season to
nine but the Venezuelan still have someway to go to better his record
of 14 last season.
probable lineups : Caballero, Sanchez, Weligton, Mathijsen, Monreal, Demichelis, Cazorla, Joaquín, Isco, Eliseu, Rondón. (4-2-3-1).

Prediction
Another battle between two sides with European ambitions and two teams
in form with neither having lost in their last three games. Espanyol have scored eight goals in their previous two home games and
with Verdú back as the creative hub they should cause problems for
Malaga going forward. However the Andalusians have especially improved away from home in
recent weeks and they should have enough quality to secure at least a
point.
Espanyol 1 - 1 Malaga
