Stadium of Light — Sunderland
Team News
Sunderland
John O'Shea and Kieran Richardson are both nearing returns and could be in contention come Saturday. If the duo continue to miss out Matthew Kilgallon is likely to partner
Turner at the back, with Jack Colback keeping Wayne Bridge out of the
side as a makeshift left-back. David Vaughan will hope to get the nod over Craig Gardner in midfield
after the latter conceded a soft penalty at City last time out.
probable lineups : Mignolet, Colback, Turner, Kilgallon, Bardsley, McClean, Cattermole, Vaughan, Larsson, Sessegnon, Bendtner. (4-4-1-1).
Tottenham
With Aaron Lennon back fit, Harry Redknapp should have his entire
regular compliment of starters available on Saturday, with the winger
restoring balance to the side. The manager has, however, stated that he will not risk further injury to
Lennon, so will ensure that he is fully fit if the England
international were to start. In the likely event that he does take his place in the side, van der
Vaart will revert to a familiar role in behind Adebayor, with Sandro
dropping to the bench.
probable lineups : Friedel, Walker, King, Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Modric, Parker, Bale, Vaart, Adebayor. (4-4-1-1).

Redknapp is therefore likely to name his strongest side in an attempt to
do the double over Sunderland this season having inflicted O'Neill's
first defeat at the club after taking the reins in December.
Last season's win at Sunderland was Spurs' first over this weekend's
hosts at The Stadium of Light in 6 attempts, and Redknapp will be
desperate to keep the pressure on Arsenal after the Gunners' slip up
last weekend, with their rivals hosting Man City on Sunday.
Sunderland 1 - 2 Tottenham
