Some big calls will need to be made by Bert van Marwijk after the
surprise defeat to Denmark in their opening game at the weekend. His
side had more shots off target (22) than any club had in a game in
Europe's top 5 leagues this season, and they will have to work on their
finishing if they are to do as well as many had tipped them to at Euro
2012.
One of those decisions is whether to include Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to add
some extra threat in front of goal. Ibrahim Afellay may be the one to
drop out, while Robin van Persie would then move out wide. However, It
was an off day for the Dutch and they may well stick to their guns with
the same starting XI.
Joris Mathijsen has recovered from the injury that kept him out of the
Denmark game and trained with the squad for the first time at the
weekend. Van Marwijk has said he should be fit, so he may come in for
Ron Vlaar.
