Gijon
Sporting's chances of survival took another hit on Wednesday as they went down 3-2 at home to Mallorca. Javier Clemente's men are now four points behind Villarreal in 17th and seven behind Granada and Betis.
Clemente will be forced into a few changes for the trip to San Mamés as
Roberto Canella and Nacho Cases are both suspended, whilst Gregory is
out injured.
Those absences could mean a major reshuffle to the defence as Alberto
Lora switches to left-back with Pedro Orfila moving to the right and
Alejandro Galvez back into the centre-back.
Meanwhile, Andre Castro should replace Cases in midfield and Miguel de
las Cuevas is expected to start ahead of Oscar Trejo after making his
comeback from injury during the week.

With both sides in poor form and in desperate need of the points for very different reasons this could be a feisty encounter. However, Athletic look like a different side with Llorente in the team
and with the Spanish international expected to make his return that
should be enough to ensure they return to winning ways. After losing twice to potential relegation rivals in the past week and
looking porous at the back in doing so Sporting look doomed.
