Mallorca
Four wins in five have propelled Mallorca into serious contention for
Europe and they could move into the top six with a win at home to
Levante this weekend.
Captain Iván Ramis is suspended so Martí Crespí is expected to make a rare start at the heart of the defence. Joaquín Caparrós has successfully experimented with Emilio Nsue at
right-back in recent weeks so he will continue with that policy, whilst
Alejandro Alfaro may come back in for Tomer Hemed.
Probable lineups : Aouate, Caceres, Chico, Crespi, Nsue, Marti, Pina, Castro, Alfaro, Pereira, Victor. (4-2-3-1).
Levante
Levante's Champions League ambitions are beginning to slip away after a
1-0 defeat to Zaragoza in midweek left them three points behind Malaga
with just two games to go and with no hope of catching Valencia.
The absence of Arouna Kone and Jose Barkero, who between them have
contributed 22 of Levante's 51 goals this season, was obvious at La
Romareda and both are expected to miss out again with foot and hamstring
injuries respectively.
Gustavo Cabral is also suspended so David Navarro should come into central defence. Manager Juan Ignacio Martínez is expected to return to his preferred
4-2-3-1 system after an unsuccessful experiment with 4-3-3 last time
out.
Probable lineups : Munua, Lopez, Ballesteros, Navarro, Juanfran, Iborra, Torres, Valdo, Botelho, Juanlu, Ghezzal. (4-2-3-1).

Prediction
Unfortunately for Levante, defeat could see them fall out of top six for
only the fifth time this season, but at the most critical stage in the
campaign.
Mallorca have failed to sparkle all season but they have been
exceptionally consistent under Caparrós and must win this game to have
any chance of qualifying for Europe given they travel to the Bernabeu on
the final day of the season.
Injuries to key players and a tired, ageing squad may have finally
started to catch up with Levante, and Kone's absence in particular not
only drastically reduces their goal threat, but affects their whole
style of play given how well the Ivorian plays on his own up front.
Mallorca 1 - 0 Levante
