Hannover 96
Leon Andreasen remains a doubt for Hannover after again missing the action this weekend. Mohammed Abdellaoue was rested for much of the impressive win over
Gladbach at the weekend, and he will be fresh to make a return to the
starting lineup. Karim Haggui is another that could come back in at centre-back, but
Eggimann and Pogatetz have started the last 3 games together and may do
so again.
probable lineups : Zieler, Pander, Pogatetz, Eggimann. Cherundolo, Rausch, Stindl, Pinto, Schlaudraff, Abdellaoue, Diouf. (4-4-2).
Atletico Madrid
Juanfran, Gabi and Arda Turan all picked up suspensions in the first leg
of this tie, after receiving their 3rd yellow cards of the current
European campaign. That trio all played in the win over Getafe at the
weekend, so there will be at least 3 changes as a result. Koke could well come in, and Luis Perea will likely start at right-back. Diego Godin, Paulo Assuncao and Luis Perea are all in a position where a
yellow card would mean a suspension for their next game.
probable lineups : Courtois, Perea, Godin, Miranda, Luis, Suarez, Thiago, Adrian, Diego, Koke, Falcao. (4-2-3-1).

Prediction
Atletico have a 2-1 lead from the first leg, but Mame Biram Diouf
grabbed a crucial away goal for Hannover, that could go a long way to
making the difference between these sides. However, while Atletico win
fairly consistently at home, they are wholly unpredictable on the road.
Since winning 3-0 at Besiktas in the last round, Atletico have lost both
of their games away from home. It is anyone's guess which Atletico will
turn up here.
Hannover, meanwhile, have as good at home as they have been bad away.
Having failed to win any of their last 5 on the road, including the
first leg loss in Spain, they have won 6 and drawn 1 of their last 7 at
home; most recently beating Borussia M.Gladbach. More often than not,
though, they do concede.
Both sides are dangerous going forward, so it is likely that each side
will decide that attack is the best form of defence, and so there will
be chances aplenty. Diego Simeone will do everything to ensure his side
to not start sluggishly and bow out of the competition without a fight.
Instead, his side may well perform like they did in the previous round
against Besiktas and blow the German side away.
Hannover 96 1 - 3 Atletico Madrid
