Sporting slipped even further towards relegation as they conceded a last
minute winner to Real Zaragoza last time out. Javier Clemente's men are
now seven points from safety with only eight games remaining. That defeat was Sporting's third in four games and all three came against sides in the bottom half.
The better news for Clemente is the return of Alberto Botía from
suspension, but the Basque coach must decide whether to recall Roberto
Canella at left-back or persist with Alberto Lora playing on his
unnatural side. Sebastian Eguren's performance against Zaragoza may see him retain his
place ahead of Rivera in midfield, but Formose Mendy will probably miss
out for the second consecutive week.

Prediction
Sporting were much improved for large parts of the game against
Zaragoza, but losing that game may prove the final straw from a
psychological point of view.
Getafe have been strong at home of late and will be keen to redeem themselves after a poor performance at the Calderón.
Therefore with some important players back in the squad, the hosts should have enough to prolong Sporting's pain.
