Racing lost for the fourth time in five matches at Espanyol on Monday night, in their second consecutive defeat since Álvaro Cervera took charge. The Cantabrians cause wasn't helped by a red card to Marcos Gullón early in the second-half and he, along with Francis, is suspended for the visit of Sevilla.Lautaro Acosta doubtfull. Despite not having won since mid-January, Racing remain just three points off safety and they have only lost one of their previous six encounters with Sevilla.

Sevilla
Sevilla have taken only one point from the last seven themselves and after a bright start to Michel's reign in charge they now lie in 12th and are approaching a critical stage if they are to harbour any hopes of European competition next season. The good news for the manager is that Alvaro Negredo should be fit enough to take some part in the game but he is likely to start on the bench after a month out through injury. Emir Spahic had to be withdrawn in the 2-0 defeat to Barcelona on Saturday with a thigh injury and he is a doubt along with Manu del Moral, but Federico Fazio and Coke return from suspension.

Prediction
A hugely important match for both sides but Sevilla may benefit from having five days rest compared to Racing's three, with Santander also having played the final half hour of Monday's game with 10-men. Racing claimed one of their eight points away from home with a 2-2 draw at the Sánchez Pizjuán earlier in the season but don't expect as many goals this time round. Having said that with some of their key players such as Kanoute and Negredo back, Sevilla could pick up only their third away win of the season.
Santander 0 - 1 Sevilla
