Prediction
Mainz are five points above the relegation zone, but still far from
safe. The team needs to improve again, after a disappointing loss
against Augsburg last weekend. Hertha are even deeper in the relegation battle and desperately need
results in order to retain a chance of staying up. The heavy home defeat
against Bayern last week certainly cost them a lot of confidence and
manager Rehhagel faces a difficult task to motivate his players for this
important match.
Expect Mainz to be in control of the game early on. Hertha will try to
defend solidly to keep the game close for as long as possible, but that
may not be enough.
Mainz 05 1 - 1 Hertha Berlin
