Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes — Granada

Team News
Granada
Granada fell to defeat against Barcelona in midweek despite becoming the first side to score three goals at the Nou Camp since Villarreal in the 2008/09 season. Carlos Martins is suspended after his red card against Sporting Gijon last weekend so Midfielder Abel Gomez is expected to take his place behind the lone striker. Defender Pape Diakhate though is expected to miss the rest of the season after having an operation to repair ankle ligament damage.
probable lineups : César, Siqueira, Gomez, López, Nyom, Rico, Moisés, Benítez, Gomez, Jara, Uche. (4-2-3-1).

Sevilla

Sevilla had a welcome return to winning ways as they steamrollered Racing 3-0 on Thursday night. Álvaro Negredo returned to take his place in attack and he helped set-up Jesús Navas' opener before two second-half strikes from Manu del Moral sealed the victory. Diego Perotti also returned to the starting XI but he had to be replaced at half-time by Jose Antonio Reyes and is a doubt for the trip to Granada. Emir Spahic missed the game in Santander and he remains a doubt so Federico Fazio and Julien Escudé should continue at the heart of the defence.
probable lineups : Palop, Coke, Escudé, Fazio, Navarro, Trochowski, Medel, Navas, Moral, Reyes, Negredo. (4-2-3-1).

Head to Head
La Liga ‎(LIGA)‎ 31 Oct 2011 Sevilla 1 - Granada 2

Prediction
An Andalusian derby adds some extra spice to two sides that are surprisingly only separated by five points with 10 games to go. Granada's recent record at home would suggest they have a good chance of reducing that gap even further, but Sevilla are in desperate need of the points to have any chance of competing in Europe next season. Ultimately though the hosts may be happy with a draw and being another point closer to survival and in front of a passionate crowd at Nuevo Los Cármenes they should be able to avoid defeat.
Granada  1 - 1  Sevilla
