AC Milan may suffer from a little morale drop and some fatigue after the
120-minute long Coppa Italia match against Juventus, and Allegri will
also have to manage his players' strength to be able to face the
European clash against Barcelona. Two victories in a row gave Roma the boost the club needed to aim for an
European spot in the next season. The team quickly forgot the derby
loss and they are now focused on keeping the sixth place, which is now
pretty certain to grant access to Europa League.
Milan will try to take an early lead, to avoid an energy-draining match
in the second half. If Luis Enrique can manage to keep the result in the
balance at half time, then he may have the chance to strike as Milan
may well settle for a point and save some stamina for the Barcelona
match.
