Getafe-Valencia Preview Match

March 24, 2012 9:00 PM GMT
Coliseum Alfonso Pérez — Getafe (Madrid)
 Team News
Getafe
Getafe stretched their unbeaten run to three games thanks to an uninspiring 0-0 draw with Osasuna on Tuesday night. Defender Rafa is expected to be out for about a month with a quad injury so once again Luis Garcia has only two fit centre-backs in Alexis and Cata Diaz. Abdel Barrada was surprisingly left out on Tuesday but he should return to the starting XI with Jaime Gavilan or Pedro Rios likely to drop out.
probable lineups Moya, Mané, Alexis, Diaz, Valera, Lacen, Michel, Castro, Barrada, Rios, Miku. (4-2-3-1).

Valencia
The boos and white handkerchiefs were out in force again at the Mestalla on Wednesday as Valencia remarkably lost 2-1 to Real Zaragoza despite having an extra man for 70 minutes. Los Che's lead in third is now down to just three points as both Malaga and Levante won in midweek to cut the gap. Tino Costa is available again after suspension and Victor Ruiz is likely to return after Angel Dealbert conceded a penalty and was at fault for Zaragoza's winner on Wednesday. Bruno is also expected to replace the suspended Antonio Barragan.
probable lineups : Guaita, Bruno, Rami, Ruiz, Mathiue, Costa, Topal, Feghouli, Jonas, Alba, Soldado. (4-2-3-1).

Prediction
Unai Emery may have been hoping to rest a few of his stars ahead of Valencia's return to European action this week but with securing Champions League football for next season still the priority he will be forced to name a strong side.
Getafe, however, have only lost three of their last 14 and may themselves fancy a late season run at qualifying for Europe as they currently sit just four points off sixth placed Espanyol.
Ultimately, though, neither would be overly disappointed with a draw and given Valencia's indifferent form that appears the most likely outcome.
Getafe  1- 1  Valencia
