of the season.

Valenciennes have lost 5 of their last 6 matches in Ligue 1.
Caen have failed to win their last 6 away matches in Ligue 1.
Prediction
This is the only game were both teams could possibly go down.
Valenciennes would be devastated to go from 12th to 18th on the last day
but only two points clear of Ajaccio, it could happen. Of course every
team below them would have to win, when you consider the six teams below
them have a combined total of 9 wins in 36 games, this is a very remote
possibility.
It’s quite simple for Caen, win and you stay in Ligue 1, draw and your
fate is not in your hands. This is the second year in a row both of
these teams have had to fight for survival on the final day. Last season
Caen won a spirited point against Marseille and lived to fight another
day, this is that day.
