Team News
Sevilla
Sevilla's charge towards the European places was brought to an abrupt halt after a 5-1 thrashing at Getafe on Monday. However, results elsewhere mean they remain firmly in the race for
European football as one of five teams locked on 45 points and a win
over Levante this weekend will take them level with Los Granotes in
fifth.
The one bright note to come out of the Getafe game from a Sevilla point
of view was another wonderful goal by Alvaro Negredo, the Spanish
international now has five goals in his last five games.
Michel may be able to recall Jose Antonio Reyes to the side after a
couple of weeks out with a muscle problem, but Andres Palop remains a
doubt so Javi Varas is expected to continue in goal.
Probable lineups : Varas, Navarro, Escudé, Fazio, Coke, Medel, Trochowski, Reyes, Moral, Navas, Negredo. (4-2-3-1).
Levante
Levante couldn't take advantage of slip-ups by Valencia and Malaga last
weekend as despite taking the lead against Barcelona, they eventually
went down 2-1 to the European champions.
The Valencian side also suffered slightly from playing their third game
in a week against Barça and the week's rest they have now had should
prove beneficial to the oldest squad in the league.
Juanfran's suspension, however, does cause a slight problem for Juan
Ignacio Martinez as Asier Del Horno is also out injured so one of Pedro
Lopez or Javi Venta may have to switch across to the opposite flank.
Probable lineups : Munúa, Venta, Ballesteros, Cabral, López, Iborra, Torres, Valdo, Ghezzal, Barkero, Koné. (4-2-3-1).

Michel's men have looked strong and scored three times in each of their
last two home games and a repeat here is not out of the question.
Levante's revival seems to have faded after two consecutive losses and
with eight defeats already on the road this season, they will do well to
avoid another at the Sánchez Pizjuán.
This is just one of many encounters between two sides harbouring
European ambitions this weekend and a Sevilla victory would bring that
pack of teams just below the European places even closer together.
Sevilla 3 - 1 Levante
