Barcelona's ninth consecutive win allied to Real Madrid's 0-0 draw with
Valencia has seen Pep Guardiola's men close to within just four points
of the league leaders. Guardiola took the opportunity to rest Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Sergio
Busquets from the start in the 4-1 win over Zaragoza on Saturday but all
three are expected to return to face Getafe.
However, Cesc Fabregas is suspended and Gerard Pique and Dani Alves could also miss out with slight muscle injuries. Lionel Messi's two goals at the weekend took his tally for the season to
a ridiculous 60, the Argentine becomes the first European top-flight
player to reach that tally for 39 years.
By contrast, Pedro's goal was his first since December, but he may drop
out again to give Isaac Cuenca or Cristian Tello a start.
probable lineups : Valdes, Adriano, Puyol, Mascherano, Montoya, Iniesta, Busquets, Xavi, Cuenca, Messi, Sanchez. (4-3-3).
Getafe
Getafe moved into a four-strong group of sides on 42 points in the
top-half of the table following their comfortable 2-0 win over Sporting
Gijon on Saturday.
Abdel Barrada returned as a second-half substitute against Sporting
after missing the previous three games, but he is unlikely to start at
the Nou Camp as Luis Garcia looks for a more defensive set-up.
Mané misses out through suspension so Tsepo Masilela should make his first appearance for two months at left-back.
probable lineups : Moya, Valera, Diaz, Alexis, Masilela, Casquero, Michel, Lacen, Castro, Gavilan, Miku. (4-3-2-1). Match Facts

Prediction
With the chance to further increase the pressure on Real Madrid by
reducing the gap at the top to one point it is hard to see past a
Barcelona victory.
The Catalans have still only dropped two points at home all season and
with their first-choice midfield of Busquets, Iniesta and Xavi back to
support Messi they should create plenty of goalscoring opportunities.
Getafe have improved greatly in recent weeks but have struggled away at
the better sides this season (losing at Real Madrid, Valencia, Malaga
and Atletico Madrid) and their charge towards the European places is
likely to be temporarily derailed.
Barcelona 3 - 0 Getafe
