With the side still sitting in 3rd place in the Premier League table and playing at the same time as Arsenal, who are just 1 point behind, this game is of great importance to Spurs. While Stoke are 14th in the league, they are 14 points clear of the relegation zone and only 3 points off 8th-placed Swansea. They still have yet to reach the usual safety mark of 40 points, and still have everything to play for in terms of pushing up the table with a good run in the final 10 games.
