David Moyes fielded a strong team in the FA Cup at the weekend against
Sunderland, and with his Everton side facing a replay after that match
was drawn, he will have to rotate his starting lineup to keep players
fresh. With no fresh injury concerns, though, he will be free to choose how exactly he wants to do this. Steven Pienaar will return to the starting team after being cup-tied at
the weekend. Tim Cahill may drop to the bench despite scoring only his
second goal in 2016 minutes of play for Everton this season. Heitinga may occupy the defensive midfield role, with Anichebe also on standby to play.
Arsene Wenger's squad will have had a full 9 days to recover ahead of this key trip to Goodison Park. The usual absentees remain, but otherwise, Wenger should have all of
those players who had recently picked up minor knocks, back and
available to play. He could well select the same lineup that came from behind to beat
Newcastle last time out, with youngster Oxlade-Chamberlain getting the
nod ahead of Gervinho and Benayoun.

Prediction
Arsenal travel to Everton on a run of consecutive 5 consecutive Premier
League victories, the latest 4 of which have all seen the Gunners come
from behind to claim victory in quite dramatic fashion. They will be
flying at the moment, and while Arsene Wenger will have appreciated the
chance for his players to get a short rest in, it will be interesting to
see whether the break will affect his side's rampant recent form.
Everton, meanwhile, have not lost at home since the 4th of January, and
also recently did Arsenal a favour by beating their rivals - both
geographically and in the race for 3rd place - Tottenham. They will hope
to balance things out now by also beating the red half of North London.
Recent results between the sides have been heavily in Arsenal's favour,
with the Gunners winning 4 of their last 6 meetings with Everton,
including their last 2 trips to Goodison - the first of which was a 6-1
mauling on the opening day of the 2009/10 season. The game will
undoubtedly not be quite so one-sided this time round, but Arsenal are
on fire at the moment and will be incredibly difficult to beat, spurred
on by their aim of usurping rivals Spurs and winning the race to that
3rd spot.
prediction score :
Everton 1 - 1 Arsenal
