Spurs have only taken one point from their last four games to drop below Arsenal and need a positive result against a Blues team out to bounce back from losing to Manchester City

John Terry and Oriol Romeu were ruled out of the clash with City and remain doubtful.
However, Chelsea's captain was given a good chance of facing Tottenham
and could come in for Ivanovic, who picked up a muscle injury,
potentially shifting David Luiz to right-back. Daniel Sturridge and Didier Drogba could both return to the starting XI,
with Lampard and Torres both subdued in the defeat at Eastlands.
probable lineups : Cech, Cole, Terry, Cahill, Luiz, Essien, Mikel, Mata, Ramires, Sturridge, Drogba. (4-2-3-1).

Emmanuel Adebayor and Aaron Lennon both sat out of the draw with Stoke
through injury and were missed, with the former more likely to return
despite remaining doubtful. Ledley King could be given some rest and was replaced late on by Ryan
Nelsen on Wednesday, who could start this weekend, with Gallas also fit
and available. Jermain Defoe will hope to get the nod over Louis Saha up front, and if
Redknapp opts for two up top van der Vaart may move out to the right
wing.
probable lineups : Friedel, Walker, Nelsen, Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto, Vaart, Modric, Parker, Bale, Adebayor, Defoe. (4-4-2).

The idea that Di Matteo may have been overly cautious with the likes of
Terry and Ivanovic in the game against City may have been in the
knowledge that a win over Spurs could prove to be more critical, with
Redknapp perhaps treating the injuries to Adebayor and Lennon in the
same manner.
Chelsea have never lost a Premier League game at home to Tottenham,
winning 13 and drawing 6, though last season's debacle will live long in
the memory of the travelling fans after Lampard's strike that didn't
cross the line was counted, only for Kalou to net a winner from an
offside position.
The home side have won 4 of the last 5 matches in which they have hosted
Spurs at Stamford Bridge, and another victory here would see them move
to within 2 points of the away side and that final Champions League
spot.
