Team News
Chelsea
Gary Cahill and David Luiz are both likely to remain sidelined so
Ivanovic will continue to partner Terry at the back, with Bosingwa on
the right. Di Matteo may switch back to a 4-2-3-1 after playing three up front against Newcastle saw them fire a blank.
Cole, Mata and Lampard will all return having been rested last time out,
while Didier Drogba should start up front due to his exceptional record
at Wembley, potentially preventing Torres from starting a cup final
against his former club.
Probable lineups : Cech, Cole, Terry, Ivanovic, Bosingwa, Meireles, Mikel, Mata, Lampard, Ramires, Drogba. (4-2-3-1).
Liverpool
Like Chelsea, Liverpool will also be without two players, with long term
absentees Lucas and Adam not set to feature again until next season.
They too made changes in order to rest players in the league, with the
result also going against them at home to Fulham, and Reina, Johnson,
Agger, Gerrard and Suarez will all return to play at Wembley.
Carroll should keep his place and Downing may also return to the
starting XI, with the likes of Henderson, Kuyt, Bellamy and Rodriguez
all vying to start on the opposite flank.
Probable lineups : Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Henderson, Gerrad, Spearing, Downing, Carroll, Suarez. (4-4-2).

Prediction
Both of these sides will be desperate to win to ensure that their respective season's aren't deemed as total failures. Chelsea have reached the Champions League final and victory there would certainly see this season as a success story to a degree but they face a tough tie against a Bayern side playing at home and all but gave up their chances of re-qualifying through a league finish after defeat to Newcastle.
Liverpool won the Carling Cup and in reaching the final here they have had an excellent season in cup competitions but anything less than a win this weekend would fail to mask an extremely poor season by their standards in the Premier League.
These sides have played out some memorable and hugely important matches in recent years in all competitions, with this ranking highly, and though Liverpool have won the last 4 encounters between the sides this is a really tough one to call and could go all the way to penalties, as the Reds' previous cup success did.
Chelsea 1 - 1 Liverpool
