Team News
Valencia
Valencia secured only their third win in 11 league games at Athletic
Bilbao last weekend to move six points clear in third place. With three games in a week Unai Emery's famed rotation policy is likely
to come into play with Bruno, Jonas, Pablo Piatti and David Albelda all
likely to return to the side. Tino Costa serves the second match of his two-game ban, but Hedwiges
Maduro could make his comeback after nearly six months out through
injury as he is now back in the squad.
Zaragoza
Zaragoza conceded a late equaliser to Osasuna at the weekend to further dent their hopes of trying to survive the drop. Goalscorers from Saturday Helder Postiga and Ruben Micael are suspended
so Carlos Aranda and Apoño are expected to return to the starting XI. Maurizio Lanzaro returns from his ban though and Manolo Jimenez is
expected to make a few changes with Paulo Da Silva and Abraham also
pushing to be included from the start.Probable Lineups
Valencia (4-2-3-1): Guaita, Mathieu, Dealbert, Rami, Bruno, Topal, Albelda, Piatti, Jonas, Feghoulli, Soldado.
Zaragoza (4-2-3-1): Roberto, Abraham, Paredes, Silva, Alvarez, Pinter, Zucullini, Apono, Lafita, Gracia, Aranda.
Prediction
Thanks to the poor form of those directly above them Zaragoza are still
only eight points off safety, but have only avoided defeat in four out
of 14 away matches this season and they are unlikely to build on that
tally with Valencia keen to seal third place as soon as possible so they
can concentrate on their Europa League campaign. Roberto Soldado returned to form in spectacular style with a hat-trick
at San Mamés and he will be looking to increase his lead as the
top-scoring Spaniard in the league against a defence that has conceded
31 goals on its travels so far this campaign. Another comfortable win should be in store for Valencia, whilst Zaragoza slip closer to their inevitable relegation.
Valencia 3 - 0 Zaragoza
